Methods 22 patients with median nerve injury are compared with 22 healthy controls in terms of distant and near latency, distant and near wave amplitude and MNCV. MP of patients including abductor pollicis brevis, flexor hallucis brevis and opponens pollicis are examined before MNCV tests.

Conclusions: 1. The head acupuncture can promote the recovery of the motor nerve conductive velocity ( MNCV) of the sciatic nerve injury in rats.
