On the Spatial and Temporal Factors in Translation Between Chinese and English

A Portable Off-line OCR and Bi-linguistic Translation System ( Chinese to English, English to Chinese) embedded in DSP has been designed which is called Electronic Reading-Pen. The whole processes including scanning, off-line OCR and translation are implemented on it independent of computers.
