The graft copolymer of ethylene propylene diene monomer ( EPDM) and methyl methacrylate ( MMA) was prepared by swelling mechanochemical copolymerization in mixer.

The results showed that the compatibility between nylon 6 and ethylene-propylene diene monomer rubber ( EPDM) could be improved by adding grafted EPDM. Compared to pure nylon 6, the water-absorption rate of the alloys evidently decreased and their impact strength was higher with less rigidity loss.
