Carambola ( Averrhoa carambola Linn) is one of the important tropical fruit in our country, and has rich nutritional and pharmacological value. However, the enzymatic browning is found easily in carambola storage and processing, which results in the loss of appearance quality and marketability.

Sterilized plantlets of diploid, triploid and tetraploid carambola ( Averrhoa carambola) were used as experiment materials to study the optimum culture conditions for the multiplication, rooting and transplanting of the plant.
