We investigated the seizure score and Ca~ ( 2+)-ATPase activity in brain stem of two kinds audiogenic mice-DBA/ 2 ( D_2) and C_ ( 57)/ B_6 ( B6).

These results show that c fos expression induced by audiogenic seizures represents the abnormal neuronal activity which is limited to auditory nuclei, and this abnormal activity may be the basis of audiogenic kindling.
