这两个词都有“有”的意思。它们的区别是：
1.own强调具有合法权利占有、继承某物作为财产的意思,所占有的物必须有相当的价值; possess则不管采用何种方法得到。例如:

2.possess只用于好的事物,而own则好坏都可。
