【结构分析】acorn=acor（空旷的土地)+n（nut，坚果）→空旷林地的坚果→橡子=【词源解释】acor←古英语acer（空旷的土地）=【背景知识】acorn原本表示林地中任何一种坚果。由于中世纪时，欧洲人在空旷林地里养猪，橡子是猪所吃的主要食物，因此acorn后来专指“橡子”。直到现在，著名的西班牙黑毛猪在屠宰前5个月必须在纯天然的橡树林下，以树上跌落的橡子为食。
