Inhibition by o-phenanthroline of cyclic and noncyclic photophosphorylation ( PSP) in flashing light

The effects of erythromycin on energy-transducing functions of chloroplasts were investigated. The following results were obtained: 1. At the concentration of 10~ (-4) M, erythromycin inhibited both cyclic and noncyclic photophosphorylation in isolated spinach chloroplasts.
